The 3 Inch Canvas presents: The “Artwork of the day”-service.

During the first 3 Inch Canvas exhibition, held last year, we got a lot of visitor feedback. One of the recurring requests was that the artworks should be available for download so that visitors could view them also on their own mobile phones.

Well, this year we wanted to try something new so we decided to implement a service where the works can be bought for viewing on your mobile. With the service you will be able to buy the works of some of the artists participating in the 3 Inch Canvas exhibition.

Starting on the opening day of the exhibition, we will be publishing eleven videos. One work will be published each day starting March 22 and ending April 1. Hence the name of the service: “The artwork of the day”.

You will be able to order the works using text messages. Each work will cost 0,95€. After having ordered the work, you will receive a return text message with a web link to the video. You can view the video by clicking on the link.

The service will work on mobile phones that can access the internet and have video viewing capabilities. Note that the data transfer will be charged separately so you should use the service only if you have a proper Internet subscription for your mobile or if you can download via a WLAN. The service will ONLY work if you have a Finnish subscription for your mobile phone.

The service is offered courtesy of the media company Arena Interactive. The artist will receive income from the service.
